TODAY IS WIN DAY!!

Today is WIN DAY!!
Congrats to team /S for the emphatic win over Msytic Footballers..
Woohooo 6-0..i wish i was there but oh well I'll be back soon!!
Today was a good day for the thirds as well. Playing Frementle united soccer club at home. Match started at 1030am, the weather was perfect, pitch is great condition. The referee didnt turn up and therefore one of our members of another team took over as ref. No biased judgments though.
First half started slowly for both teams. Defence was abit unsteady at the beginning with Freo pumping alot of through balls and their strikers giving the centrebacks a hard time. Uwa survived with heroic goalkeeping from our invitational gk. First half ended off 0-0. As long as we are 0-0 after 60 mins, we would eventually win, because we are FIT! Rolling substitues are allowed at this level but we nv used that to our advantage. Teams normally start Rotation after about 30 mins of fast and furious football.
2nd half started unsteadily for UWA once again and a few mistakes gave the freo strikers some half chances which they failed to convert. Slowly UWA controlled the midfield and finally got their reward thru a header from Tim. He claims he had no idea he score, he only felt something bounced off his head and it was a goallll.
We kept up the tempo after the goal and good passing down the left flank gave nick pain plenty of space and he whipped it in goal. 2-0 and fully in control. By now the rotation of the opposition was becoming a routine. Determined to keep a clean sheet, UWA defence won almost every ball and played it safe. There was one more highlight left in the game when freo striker took a ball down and went on a sprint. He managed to get pass a defender and cut the keeper; he took a shot towards the open goal, only to be blocked by me!! the short smacked me right on the neck and there were shouts for handball on the sidelines. No one on the field disagreed with the ref when he awarded the corner. The scoreline remained 2-0 and a great result following our demooralising lost last week.
